Diamondbacks And Orioles Swap Pitchers
The Arizona Diamondbacks have acquired Paul Fry from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for Luis Osorio.
Fry has played each of the last five seasons with the Orioles, but he will now be heading to Arizona. He will provide the Diamondbacks with another veteran for their bullpen. In 187 career games, he has a 7-16 record, 4.80 ERA, and 192 strikeouts. In 12 appearances this campaign with Baltimore, he sports a 0-0 record and 6.00 ERA.
Osorio, on the other hand, is a 19-year-old pitching prospect who is just getting his career started. He of course is a long-term project, as he is still very young. In the Dominican Summer League last season, he had a 3-2 record and 5.83 ERA in 15 games.
