Cubs Call Up Catcher
The Chicago Cubs have called up P.J. Higgins from Triple-A Iowa.
In 22 games this season with Iowa, Higgins has one home run, 17 RBIs, and a .417 batting average. Needless to say, it's been an excellent start to the year for him, and he has earned this promotion. It will be interesting to see if this kind of success can now translate over to the majors.
Higgins made his major league debut with the Cubs last season. In nine games with the team, he had one hit in 23 at-bats, so it's fair to say he struggled. Yet, when looking at how well he has done at the plate this year, there's reason to believe that he can have more success this time around. Let's see what happens on that front.
