Brewers Pitcher Suspended 80 Games

Milwaukee Brewers pitcher J.C. Mejia has been suspended for 80 games due to testing positive for performance-enhancing drugs.

Mejia has appeared in two games for the Brewers this season. During them, he definitely struggled, as he allowed six earned runs in 2.1 innings pitched. With that, he also had serious problems with his control, as he walked five batters.

With Mejia trying to cement himself as a major league pitcher, this is not a good way to help his chances. Now, once his 80-game suspension is over, he will have to try to earn his spot back in the majors with the Brewers.
