Brewers Infielder Placed On Injured List
Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames has been placed on the 10-day injured list because of an ankle sprain.
It's been an interesting season for Adames thus far. He currently is tied with multiple players for the most home runs in the National League with nine but also only has a .208 batting average. Yet, even if he's struggling to hit for contact thus far, his power will be missed immensely while sidelined.
At this point of the year, the Brewers hold a 2.5 game lead over the Cardinals for first place in the NL Central. With the race very close at this juncture, Milwaukee will be hoping that Adames will be able to return as soon as this stint on the IL is over. Let's see if that comes to fruition.
