Blue Jays Infielder Sent Down To Triple-A
The Toronto Blue Jays have sent Cavan Biggio down to Triple-A Buffalo.
Biggio has been off to a disastrous start to the 2022 season, so perhaps some time in the minors will help his confidence. In 13 games this season, he has just one hit in 23 at-bats, which equates to a .043 batting average. Now, he will be aiming to bounce back with Buffalo to earn himself another call-up.
Biggio has shown over his young career that he can be an effective major leaguer. In 251 career games over four seasons, he has 31 home runs, 103 RBIs, and a .230 batting average. During his rookie season, he also had 16 home runs and 48 RBIs in 100 games. Now, his primary goal is to get back into the show and then stay there.
