Athletics Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Oakland Athletics have designated Justin Grimm for assignment.

Grimm made Oakland's major league roster after signing a minor league deal with them. Since then, he has appeared in 15 games with the A's, where he sported a 0-0 record and 4.11 ERA. Overall, his 2022 campaign has had mixed results. Now, the club is opting to remove him from their 40-man roster.

Oakland will now have to either place him on waivers or trade him by the end of the week. He could get some interest around the league, as he has a lot of major league experience on his resume. In 325 career games between the Rangers, Cubs, Royals, Mariners, Brewers, and A's, he has a 20-23 record and 5.10 ERA.
