Astros Starter Stretchered Off After Injury

During Monday night's game against the Boston Red Sox, Houston Astros pitcher Jake Odorizzi had to be carted off the field. The veteran fell to the ground awkwardly while running to first base and was in clear pain.

At this point in time, the Astros haven't offered an update on Odorizzi's condition, but when looking at the game footage, it seems likely that he will be placed on the 10-day injured list at a minimum. Yet, it also wouldn't be too shocking to find out that this is a long-term injury. Hopefully for Odorizzi's case, that doesn't end up being the case.

Nevertheless, here's to hoping that Jake has a speedy recovery and can get back to the mound soon.
