Astros Pitcher Opts Out Of Contract
Adam Morgan is once again a free agent, as the veteran pitcher has opted out of his minor league contract with the Houston Astros.
It had become clear that call-up wasn't in Houston's plans, so it ultimately makes sense that Morgan wants to explore possibilities elsewhere. He has spent each of the last seven seasons in the majors, so he will be pushing hard to change that number to eight in 2022.
In 233 career games between the Philadelphia Phillies and Chicago Cubs, Morgan has a 15-28 record and 4.80 ERA. It will be intriguing to see if he will have the opportunity to build on these career numbers this campaign.
