Astros and Giants Swing Trade

The San Franciso Giants remain busy on the trade market making moves around the edges. They've sent utilityman Mauricio Dubon to the Houston Astros in return for catcher Mike Papierski.

The right-handed hitting Dubon has spent the last 3+ seasons with the Giants, and has been popular in the clubhouse. Over 482 at-bats with San Francisco, he has a .259 average with 15 home runs.

The 27-year-old can play second base, shortstop, third base and centerfield, and will come in handy for the Astros, who have had poor production from their current utilitymen (Aledmys Diaz hitting .191 and Nico Goodrum at .128).

The Giants have recalled infielder Donovan Walton to replace Dubon on the major league roster, while sending the 26-year-old Papierski to Triple-A Sacramento.
