Angels Pitcher Designated For Assignment

The Los Angeles Angels have designated Mike Mayers for assignment. 

Mayers has looked off in his third season with the Halos, as he has a high 5.40 ERA in 15 games. In previous years with the Angels, he provided a decent amount of reliability. For example, during the 2020 campaign, he had an impressive 2.10 ERA in 29 appearances. If he can find that form again, he would be a good addition to another club.

Thus, with this, it will be interesting to see if another team decides to acquire him or claim him off waivers. In 189 career games between the Cardinals and Angels, he has an 11-8 record and 4.98 ERA.
