Wild Video: Blue Jays Fan Arrested for Assaulting Police Officer at Home Opener
It was the Toronto Blue Jays first home opener since 2019 and the beers were flowing in the Rogers Centre. The crowd was provided with one of the most entertaining games in MLB history as the Blue Jays were down 7-0 and came back to beat the Rangers 10-8. Unfortunately not everyone got to witness the epic comeback.
Reports have surfaced from Toronto police saying a woman has been charged with assaulting a police officer and public intoxication. Officers were called up to the 500 level around 10:20pm on Friday as the call cited two people were fighting. While that's totally not uncommon, seeing a police officer get punched in the side of the face was new.
Here's the video that shows the brew-ha-ha unfolding which resulted in an officer being assaulted and a drunk Jays fan filling up her life up with regret:
