Video: Shohei Ohtani Hits First 2 Home Runs Of Season
On the first pitch of Friday's game between the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers, Shohei Ohtani hit his first home run of the 2022 season. Although it took him eight games to hit it, it seems that the superstar is ready to break out of his early-season slump.
Ohtani's confidence seemed to grow as the game went on, as he hit another dinger and even added a bat flip for good measure. With this, he now has the two home runs of the year to go along with three RBIs and a .206 batting average. This is definitely a slow start for him, but let's see if things will begin to change for the 2021 AL MVP.
The Angels would end up defeating the Rangers by a 9-6 final score. With this, Los Angeles has improved to 4-4, while the Rangers are now 2-5.
