Just when you thought you'd seen everything in baseball. A batter for the Savannah Bananas of the Coastal Plain League actually went to bat with his lumber literally in flames. And connected for a base hit.

Batter Zac Whalin literally SMOKED that line drive. Talk about having a HOT BAT.
The Coastal Plain League is a collegiate summer baseball league, featuring honest-to-goodness college players from around the country. But the Bananas are definitely a one-of-a-kind team. They're often refered to as the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball. Here's another highlight from their first week of the season:
