Video: Mets Manager Pissed Off With Nationals Pitchers
New York Mets manager Buck Showalter could not wait to get the 2022 season started and has been looking forward to facing the Washington Nationals in their opening series. The bean balls though? He can do without them.
The Mets manager was seen visibly frustrated on Sunday after the Nationals plunked Sterling Marte in the back. It was the fourth Mets batter who has been beaned during their opening set, and two of the hitters were hit in the head.
Needless to say, Showalter is wondering what the heck warranted his team to getting hit so much and will likely like a word with the Nationals pitching coach once the series wraps up on Sunday:
Buck Showalter was not amused after Starling Marte was hit by a pitch 😅
