Video: Blue Jays George Springer Injured vs Red Sox
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer cannot catch a break. After signing his mega-contract before last season, Springer battled injuries throughout the entire season and was off to a healthy and flying start to the 2022 campaign. That's all changed as the Blue Jays center fielder was beaned on Wednesday night against the Boston Red Sox and now there's concern over his health.
Springer had to leave the game after suffering a forearm contusion thanks to Red Sox right-hander Phillips Valdez in the top of the sixth inning. So far the news has been positive as the team announced x-rays were negative and he's scheduled for an MRI on Thursday.

Springer only appeared in 78 games last season in Toronto so let's hope this isn't a sign of things to come again in 2022. He was 1-for-2 at the dish with an RBI before being force to exit Wednesday's contest. He was off to a decent start with two HR, five RBI and an .801 OPS.
If you're looking for a fantasy replacement you may want to circle either Bradley Zimmer or Raimel Tapia who appear set to take over the bulk of Springer's at bats while he nurses his latest injury.
