Veteran Reliever Eyeing MLB Return
Longtime MLB veteran Tommy Hunter is eyeing a return to the majors, as he is currently having workouts for teams around the league.
Hunter appeared in just four games last season with the New York Mets. His season was cut short due to a back injury, but with this development, it's clear that he feels good enough to try to make a comeback. He was effective in his short stint with the Mets, though, as he did not allow a single run in 8.0 innings pitched.
Hunter's vast amount of experience should help his chances of finding a new home, too. In 476 career games between the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Chicago Cubs, Cleveland, Toronto Blue Jays, Philadelphia Phillies, and Mets, he has a 56-45 record, 4.04 ERA, and 22 saves.
