Twins Provide Update On Byron Buxton
When Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton left Friday's game early, there was understandably a plethora of concern. He's not only the team's top player but has also had a lot of injury trouble over his career. However, the team has now provided us with good news, as the 28-year-old has no structural damage to his injured knee and should be back in a week.
Fresh off of signing his big contract extension with the Twins, Buxton has had a solid start to 2022. He most notably had back-to-back-to-back home runs over a two-game stretch. With that, he also has four RBIs and a .250 batting average on the year. Once he returns, he will be aiming to continue to hit well for power.
While Buxton is out of the lineup, the Twins will be hoping to get things back on track. Although they are not necessarily bad this campaign, they do possess a 3-4 record and are fourth in the AL Central. However, one long winning streak would make things look a lot better, so let's see how they do without their best player.
