Tigers Starter Set To Make Debut

During Thursday's game against the New York Yankees, Michael Pineda will be making his debut for the Detroit Tigers. 

Pineda signed a one-year deal with the Tigers before the start of the 2022 season. However, due to visa issues, he was unable to attend Opening Day. Now, the veteran is good to go and has the potential to be a solid addition to the team. 

Pineda is coming off of another good season. In 22 games with the Minnesota Twins, he had a 9-8 record, 3.62 ERA, and 88 strikeouts. Going up against his former team could also spark him to have an excellent debut for the Tigers. Alas, time will tell if that comes to fruition, but his arrival makes Thursday's game a must-watch event for Tigers fans.
