Seattle Mariners Sign Pitcher
The Seattle Mariners are signing Tommy Milone to a minor league contract.
With this move, the Mariners are bringing back a familiar face. Milone pitched for the team during the 2019 season, where he sported a 4-10 record and 4.76 ERA.
Although Milone signed a minor league deal with Seattle this time around, there's reason to believe that he could fight his way to the majors. This is because he has an immense amount of experience at the major league level. In 189 career games between the Washington Nationals, Oakland Athletics, Minnesota Twins, Mariners, Baltimore Orioles, Atlanta Braves, and Toronto Blue Jays, he has a 52-51 record and 4.59 ERA.
Nevertheless, it will be interesting to see what happens with Milone from here. Even if he doesn't make the major league roster right away, he will offer them more depth when injuries arise.
