Royals Send Pitcher Down To Triple-A
The Kansas City Royals have optioned Brady Singer to Triple-A.
In the minor leagues, Singer is expected to be utilized as a starter again. He was during his first two seasons in the majors but was switched to Kansas City's bullpen for 2022. He has had some notable struggles in the 'pen, however, as he has a 0-0 record and 6.35 ERA in three games. After a handful of starts in Triple-A, he is expected to get a call-up - if all things go well.
In 42 career games with the Royals, Singer sports a 9-15 record, 4.67 ERA, and 198 strikeouts. We will have to wait and see when the 25-year-old gets the opportunity to build on these numbers again.
