Royals Acquire Pitcher From Diamondbacks
The Kansas City Royals have acquired Matt Peacock from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for cash.
Peacock was recently designated for assignment by the D-Backs, so it isn't surprising at all to see him on the move. The 28-year-old will now be aiming to cement himself a permanent spot on the Royals' roster.
Peacock has appeared in two games this season. In 2.2 innings pitched, he has allowed two earned runs on three hits, a home run, and two walks. Overall, it hasn't been the best of starts for him in 2022, but now he will be aiming to change that in KC.
In 37 career games over two seasons with the Diamondbacks, Peacock had a 5-7 record and 4.96 ERA. It will be intriguing to see how these stats change with the Royals.
