Reds Claim Infielder Off Waivers
The Cincinnati Reds have claimed Matt Reynolds off waivers from the New York Mets.
With the Mets this season, Reynolds appeared in one game but did not have a single at-bat. Yet, due to the fact that the Reds have far less depth than the Mets, he should be able to get more opportunities to play. This is especially true when noting that he is capable of playing third base, shortstop, and second base if needed.
Reynolds has a bit of major league experience under his belt, too. In 131 games between the Mets, Washington Nationals, and Kansas City Royals, he has four home runs, 19 RBIs, and a .212 batting average. It will be intriguing to see how much these totals change while he's a member of the Reds.
