Red Sox Call Up 2 Pitchers
The Boston Red Sox have called up John Schreiber and Tyler Danish from Triple-A. This comes after both Tanner Houck and Kutter Crawford were placed on the team's restricted list.
Schreiber appeared in one game for the Red Sox last season, where he allowed one run in 3.0 innings pitched. Although this call-up appears to be a short-term one, he will provide them with more bullpen depth while the others are out. In 29 career games between the Tigers and Red Sox, he has a 2-1 record and 5.97 ERA.
Danish has already made two appearances with the Red Sox this season. In total, he has pitched three scoreless innings, so he will be aiming to maintain this form when called upon again. In 13 career games between the White Sox and Red Sox, Danish has a 2-0 record, 3.94 ERA, and 16 strikeouts.
