MLB Rumors: White Sox Outfielder Gaining Trade Interest
According to Jon Morosi, trade interest in Chicago White Sox outfielder Micker Adolfo has increased. This is because the 25-year-old is out of minor league options, and it's hard to determine if he will make Chicago's major league roster.
The White Sox have a lot of depth in their system, so Adolfo may not be able to squeeze into their major league roster. However, due to the fact that many view him as having a lot of potential, Chicago could find him a new home rather easily. This is especially true if it provides them with an upgrade that will help them immediately.
Adolfo split the 2021 season Double-A and Triple-A. In 101 total games, he had 25 home runs, 69 RBIs, and a .245 batting average. The potential to be an effective power hitter at the major league level is there, so there certainly should be some rebuilding teams interested in him if made available.
Nevertheless, with Opening Day only two days away, this is something to keep a major eye on.
