MLB Rumors: Twins And Padres Talking Trade
According to Ken Rosenthal, the Minnesota Twins and San Diego Padres are discussing a potential trade that will center around Chris Paddack.
Paddack's name has entered the rumor mill as of late. He, along with Eric Hosmer, was almost dealt to the New York Mets last week, but the trade was squashed between both teams. Yet, the door has now been opened to the possibility of the 26-year-old becoming a Twin.
If the Twins successfully land Paddack, they certainly will be hoping he bounces back from a rough 2021 season. In 23 appearances, he had a 7-7 record and 5.07 ERA. Yet, as a rookie in 2019, he was excellent, as he had a 9-7 record and 3.33 ERA. Thus, there is reason to believe he could rebound, and perhaps a move to Minnesota could be what helps with that.
Nevertheless, this is something to keep a very close eye on as we get closer to Opening Day. The Twins have been very busy since the lockout was lifted, but it appears that they aren't completely satisfied with their roster yet.
