Minnesota Twins Release Pitcher
The Minnesota Twins have made a change to their roster, as they have released Lewis Thorpe.
Thorpe made appearances with the Twins in each of these last three seasons. In 24 games with the club, he had a 3-5 record to go along with a 5.76 ERA. He saw time as both a starter and reliever, but at the end of the day, it was hard for him to cement himself a permanent spot with the club. Now, he will be aiming to do so with another club.
Thorpe appeared in one game this season with Triple-A St. Paul. It was a very rough outing for the 26-year-old, though, as he allowed eight earned runs on six hits and two home runs. With that, he only lasted 1.2 innings.
Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see if Thorpe will have the chance to rebound with a new team from here.
