Marlins Pitcher Heads To Injured List
The Miami Marlins have placed Paul Campbell on the 10-day injured list.
Campbell is currently sidelined due to an elbow strain on his throwing arm. As a result of this, it makes a plethora of sense for him to sit out for at least these next 10 days. Elbow injuries are obviously concerning for pitchers, so the team should not be rushing him back by any means.
Campbell has yet to appear in a major league game this season. Yet, even with this being the case, he does have experience in the sport's most competitive league. In 16 appearances as a rookie last season, he had a 2-3 record and 6.41 ERA. Once he is 100% healthy, he will be aiming to put together a stronger sophomore season. Yet, healing is his number one priority, so let's see if he's good to go by the time this 10-day IL stint passes.
