Mariners Sign Pitcher
The Seattle Mariners have added to their pitching depth, as they have signed Konner Wade to a minor league contract.
Wade got his first taste of the sport's most competitive league last season with the Baltimore Orioles. The 30-year-old definitely had his struggles during it, however, as he had an 11.68 ERA in seven games. Baltimore opted to move on from him during the offseason after this campaign, but now, he will have the chance to bounce back with the Mariners organization.
It's hard to say whether or not Wade will end up getting a call-up from the Mariners later this campaign. At a minimum, however, Seattle will be getting a pitcher with a lot of overall experience in the minors. Alas, we will have to wait and see if Wade ends up landing a promotion from here.
