Giants To Call Up Outfielder

With Steven Duggar being placed on the injured list, the San Francisco Giants are expected to call up Luis Gonzalez.

Gonzalez made appearances with the Chicago White Sox over each of the last two seasons. In nine games with the team, he had two doubles to go along with a .222 batting average. The sample size has of course been very small, so he will be hoping to get more playing time during this promotion in San Francisco.

If Gonzalez impresses the Giants from here, it could very well lead him to stick around with the team, too. Thus, this is a big opportunity for him that he will be aiming to take advantage of.

Nevertheless, we will have to wait and see how Gonzalez performs from here.
