Giants Pitcher Placed On Injured List
The San Francisco Giants will be without Alex Cobb for at least a little bit of time, as the veteran pitcher has been placed on the 10-day injured list.
Cobb is currently sidelined with a right adductor strain. While speaking with reporters, the 34-year-old noted that he isn't very worried and that he expects to be ready to return to action shortly. Hopefully, he's right with his assumption, as the Giants would much rather have him healthy than not.
Cobb signed a two-year deal with the Giants during the offseason after a solid 2021 season with the Angels. In 18 games with the team, he had an 8-3 record and 3.76 ERA. So far this campaign, he has a 1-0 record and 4.82 ERA in two games with San Francisco.
Alas, here's to hoping that Cobb doesn't have to miss any extra after these 10 days are up.
