Dodgers To Be Without Pitcher
The Los Angeles Dodgers have placed Andrew Heaney on the 10-day injury list.
Heaney will be sidelined due to shoulder discomfort in his throwing arm. At this juncture, the severity of his current ailment does not seem particularly high. Yet, it is still wise for the 30-year-old to take this time to relax before getting back on the mound.
So far, Heaney has left a wonderful first impression with the Dodgers. In his first two starts, he has a 1-0 record and has not surrendered a single run in 10.1 innings pitched. This has been very encouraging to see, as he had a disastrous 5.27 ERA in 30 games between the Angels and Yankees last season. Once he is healthy, he will try to build on what could be a bounce-back year for him.
Here's to hoping Heaney's injury gets better once this stint on the 10-day IL passes.
