Dodgers Reliever Inching Closer To Debut
While speaking with reporters, Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts noted that Tommy Kahnle could return to major league action by the end of this month.
Kahnle missed the entirety of the 2021 season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. Before then, he appeared in just one game with the New York Yankees during the 2020 season, where he pitched one scoreless inning. It's been a long time since the 32-year-old reliever has taken the mound in the majors, but finally, it appears that he is inching closer.
Kahnle has made three appearances this season in Single-A with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes. So far, he has been done quite well, as he has not allowed a single run in three innings pitched. If he keeps this play up, he should finally make his debut with the Dodgers. Keep an eye out for an official call-up over these next few weeks.
