Diamondbacks Given Rough Injury News
The 2022 season is starting off in a rough fashion for the Arizona Diamondbacks, as Josh Rojas will be out for weeks due to a Grade 2 oblique strain.
After two years of receiving limited playing time for Arizona, Rojas truly broke out in 2021. In 139 games with the team, he had 11 home runs, 44 RBIs, and a .264 batting average. With this kind of season, there was excitement about how the utilityman would respond to his career-best campaign. Yet, we will now have to wait some time before we get our answer to that.
In 197 career games with Arizona, Rojas has 13 home runs, 62 RBIs, and a .247 batting average.
Nevertheless, here's to hoping that Rojas will be able to return to the lineup very soon. Although the Diamondbacks aren't expected to be major contenders this season, it certainly would be better than not to have him back as soon as possible.
