Cardinals Pitcher Inching Closer To Return
According to St. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol, Jack Flaherty is inching closer to his eventual return to the team's rotation.
This is good news for the Cardinals, as Flaherty is one of their most important pitchers. During the 2021 season, he sported a 9-2 record and 3.22 ERA, so if he could replicate those kinds of numbers this year, his return will be greatly appreciated.
The Cardinals have been handling themselves fairly well without Flaherty, though. At this juncture of the campaign, they have an 11-7 record and are second in the NL Central. Yet, getting Flaherty back should make their rotation even better, so they could climb even further up the standings.
