Braves Send Catcher To Triple-A
The Atlanta Braves have demoted Chadwick Tromp to Triple-A Gwinnett.
This development comes one week after Tromp was designated for assignment by the club. However, due to the fact that he has officially cleared waivers, he now will be remaining with the organization but in the minor leagues.
Although Tromp made the team's roster, he did not get into any game action. In fact, he has yet to make an appearance as a Brave. Instead, the 27-year-old catcher made appearances in each of the last two seasons with the San Francisco Giants. In 33 games with the team, he had five home runs, 12 RBIs, and a .215 batting average.
Nevertheless, Chadwick will now be working on his craft in Triple-A in hopes of landing an eventual promotion to the Braves' major league squad again.
