Braves Designate Outfielder For Assignment

With Ronald Acuna Jr. finally being healthy enough to return to the Atlanta Braves' lineup, the team had to open up a spot on the major league roster for him. As a result of this, the Braves have designated Alex Dickerson for assignment.

Dickerson was signed to a one-year deal during the offseason by the Braves. He has seen a decent chunk of action with Atlanta since, as he played in 13 games with the club. Yet, he struggled when called upon, as he has just one home run, two RBIs, and a very low .121 batting average.

Dickerson comes with a decent amount of major league experience, so perhaps another club could elect to claim him off waivers from here. In 339 career games between the San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, and Braves, he has 40 home runs, 132 RBIs, and a .255 batting average.
