Baltimore Orioles Promote Pitcher
The Baltimore Orioles have called up Chris Ellis to their major league roster.
Ellis appeared in six games with the Orioles last season, where he had a 0-0 record and 2.49 ERA. Overall, he did fairly well in his small sample size, so it isn't surprising to see that Baltimore is ready to give him another shot in the sport's most competitive league.
Ellis hasn't had too much experience at the major league level, but when called upon, he's been effective. In nine career games between the Kansas City Royals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Orioles, he has a 1-0 record and 1.82 ERA. With John Means on the 60-day injured list, he likely will also have the chance to be one of their starters.
Alas, let's see how Ellis performs during his promotion from here.
