Atlanta Braves Sign Outfielder
The Atlanta Braves are bringing back an old friend, as they have signed Preston Tucker to a minor league contract.
The last team Tucker played for at the major league level was actually the Braves. In 18 games with the club during the 2018 season, he had one hit in 12 at-bats. Needless to say, if he has the opportunity to play with the big league team, he will be aiming to do a lot better this time around.
After hitting 13 home runs during the 2015 season as a rookie, Tucker has had trouble replicating those totals. In 243 career games between the Houston Astros, Cincinnati Reds, and Braves, he has 23 home runs, 68 RBIs, and a .222 batting average.
It will be interesting to see if he is able to return to the majors this season. If he does not make the team immediately, they at least have added more depth to their outfield.
