Astros Pitcher Transferred To 60-Day Injured List
During the offseason, it was believed that Houston Astros pitcher Lance McCullers Jr. would be ready for the start of the 2022 campaign. Yet, that couldn't be further from the truth today, as the veteran starter has been transferred from the 10-day injured list to the 60-day injured list.
McCullers Jr. is currently healing from a flexor tendon strain that he sustained during the 2021 playoffs. It has been a long road of recovery for the 28-year-old, but now with this development, he, unfortunately, has to be sidelined for a lot more time.
Yet, once McCullers Jr. is officially ready to go, it will be worth the wait. He is a major part of their rotation and coming off of another solid campaign. In 28 games last season, he had a 13-5 record and 3.16 ERA. It will be interesting to see how he will do in 2022, but we have a good amount of time to wait before being able to know.
