Astros Making Change To Starting Rotation
The Houston Astros are changing their traditional five-man rotation to a six-man rotation. Manager Dusty Baker told reporters that the club will be adding Cristian Javier to it.
The Astros have an extremely packed schedule over the next month and some change, as they play 33 games in 34 days. Naturally, their starters are expected to feel some fatigue during this stretch, so it makes sense for Baker to add Javier to it.
This is an exciting development for Javier, as he will the chance to show the Astros that he can still be an effective MLB starter. In his 51 career appearances, he has started in 19 of them, so he does have a decent chunk of experience. It will be intriguing to see how he performs back in the rotation from here.
