Anthony Rizzo Weighs In On Aaron Judge Talks: "There's No Loyalty In This Game!"
Anthony Rizzo recently returned to the New York Yankees on a 2-year, $32M contract. But his advice for teammate Aaron Judge in light of the Yankee icon's stalled extension talks: You do you.
Anthony Rizzo said that he has talked to Aaron Judge about his contract extension negotiations. “At the end of the day, it’s about what is going to make him and (Judge’s wife) Sam happy. … You see Freddie Freeman isn’t on the Braves anymore. There’s no loyalty in this game.”

Rizzo said he has spoken with Judge and offered his thoughts on what he should do. “At the end of the day, it’s about what is going to make him and (Judge’s wife) Sam happy. … You see Freddie Freeman isn’t on the Braves anymore. There’s no loyalty in this game.” In other words, don't worry about any 'hometown discount.'
Other Judge advocates, and fans, like WFAN's Brandon Tierney, say this should be a slam dunk for the Yankees to get something done. Whatever it takes.
Aaron Judge is an absolute superstar. Not an all-star people unjustly elevate to superstar status, but a legit superstar.

Homegrown. Sells tickets. Low maintenance. Affable. Emotionally consistent.

Judge has set a deadline of Opening Day to sign an extension, or he'll simply enter free agency after the season and they can pick up talks then. The two sides have until 1:00pm EDT on Friday.
