Angels Send Pitcher To Triple-A
Earlier this week, Brian Moran was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Angels. Now that the pitcher has cleared waivers, the team has opted to send him down to Triple-A Salt Lake.
Moran made one appearance for the Angels this season, and it's fair to say that it was a rough outing for him. In 0.1 innings pitched, he allowed two runs on three hits and a home run. It was an unfortunate occurrence for the veteran, as his chances of landing a call-up do not seem too high at this juncture.
In 18 career games between the Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays, and Angels, Moran has a 2-0 record but a very high 7.94 ERA. If he ends up thriving in Triple-A this season, perhaps it could open the door for him to get a promotion again. Time will tell on that front.
