Rockies Sign Veteran Starter
The Colorado Rockies have signed Chad Kuhl to a major league contract. He will make $3 million guaranteed.
Kuhl spent the 2021 season as both a starter and reliever for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Overall, he had mixed results on the campaign, as he sported a 5-7 record and 4.82 ERA. With numbers like these, he could work well in the bottom portion of Colorado's rotation.
Kuhl has spent the entirety of his major league career with the Pirates. In exactly 100 appearances with the organization, he had a 25-30 record, 4.44 ERA, and 395 strikeouts. Overall, he had some decent moments with the team, but he will now be looking to succeed with the Rockies.
Although this isn't a major splash, Kuhl will provide them with more options in their rotation. Yet, they also could elect to place him in their bullpen, too.
