Red Sox Sign Reliever

The Boston Red Sox are staying busy, as they have signed Tyler Danish to a minor league contract.

Danish last pitched at the major league level during the 2018 campaign with the Chicago White Sox. In 11 appearances over three seasons with the organization, he had a 2-0 record, 4.85 ERA, and 11 strikeouts. With this, that is where his MLB experience ends. Yet, he will now be aiming to make Boston's major league roster for the 2022 campaign - assuming the lockout is lifted, of course.

Danish had himself a pretty solid year in the minors this past season, so perhaps that will help his chances. In 32 games on the campaign, he had a 5-3 record, 3.84 ERA, and 79 strikeouts. Overall, he wasn't necessarily dominant, but he was still quite serviceable.

The Red Sox are continuing to add to their pitching depth. It will be interesting to see what their bullpen looks like for the new year. Perhaps Danish can surprise some people and land himself a spot in it.
