MLB Rumors: Twins & A's Discussing Blockbuster Trade

The Minnesota Twins have come out of the lockout with guns blazing. And their transactions flurry doesn't appear to be over yet. According to MLB Insider Jon Morosi, the Twins have discussed another blockbuster trade, this time with their focus on the Oakland A's pitching staff.

Morosi says they've discussed trade proposals that would see either Sean Manaea or Frankie Montas going to Minnesota.

The Twins have already made several moves since business re-opened, including trading for another starting pitcher, Sonny Gray from the Cincinnati Reds. Adding one of those Oakland starters would give the Twins a nice rotation.

The Twins have been active elsewhere as well, dealing with the Texas Rangers to acquire infielder Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and then turning around and trading him to the New York Yankees along with Josh Donaldson in return for catcher Gary Sanchez and infielder Gio Urshela.
