The Japanese daily sports newspaper Nikkan Sports out of Tokyo, along with several other Japanese sports outlets, are reporting that the Nippon League superstar has agreed to come to the Padres for a 5-year deal worth close to $70M. Note, there has yet to be any confirmation from Suzuki or the Padres.
Other reports in the U.S. say contrary to the Japanese reports, a decision hasn't yet been made, and several other teams are said to be in the final list of teams Suzuki was considering, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, San Francisco Giants, and Seattle Mariners.
In fact, Suzuki himself has decided to post his own update late Monday afternoon (U.S. time), by offering up this hilarious post on Instagram.

Padres pitcher Yu Darvish was doing some recruiting of Suzuki over the weekend, so maybe they are still a front-runner.
Seiya Suzuki visited with Yu Darvish and his family before the pitcher left for Arizona. (The two share an agent.) Suzuki also worked out for the Padres at Petco Park over the weekend, sources tell @TheAthletic. The rest of his travel itinerary is not known.

In fact, Darvish even hinted at it—tongue-in-cheek—on his own Twitter account over the weekend:
