MLB Rumors: Blue Jays And Guardians Talking Blockbuster
The Toronto Blue Jays may have just added Matt Chapman, but they aren't satisfied yet. According to Ken Rosenthal, they are expressing interest in Jose Ramirez.
If the Blue Jays were to acquire Ramirez, their plan would be to move him to second base. He certainly would be another fantastic addition to their lineup if acquired, so the position change would be worth it.
The 2021 season was another excellent one for Ramirez, as he had 36 home runs, 103 RBIs, and a .266 batting average. With that, he understandably was named an All-Star for the third time in his career. The 29-year-old is still very much in his prime, too, so he could provide Toronto with multiple campaigns like this one.
The Blue Jays are clearly aiming to build a World Series caliber roster. They already look like a true powerhouse in the AL East, but if they added Ramirez, they would have the strongest batting order in the entire sport.
