MLB Rumors: A's And White Sox Talking Blockbuster
The Oakland Athletics are staying busy with their fire sale, as they are currently having trade discussions with the Chicago White Sox regarding both Sean Manaea and Frankie Montas.
The A's have been selling like crazy since the lockout was lifted, as they have already traded Matt Chapman, Matt Olson, and Chris Bassitt. This is only the beginning, however, as they have been talking to several teams about Manaea and Montas, too.
Manaea and Montas would each be great additions to Chicago's rotation. In 32 appearances this past season, Manaea had an 11-10 record and 3.91 ERA. Montas, on the other hand, sported a 13-9 record and 3.37 ERA in 32 games. Needless to say, they each could fit in the middle of their rotation.
With the way the A's are currently making trades, don't be surprised to see these two dealt very shortly. Will the White Sox be the lucky winners of the sweepstakes, though?
