Miami Marlins Sign Outfielder
The Miami Marlins have signed Roman Quinn to a minor league contract. He also has received an invitation to attend Spring Training with the major league club.
Although Quinn has signed a minor league deal, there is a decent chance that he will end up on their major league roster. The 28-year-old has spent each of the last four seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and has gotten into a good amount of action because of it. The 2021 campaign was a rough one for him, however, as he had zero home runs, two RBIs, and a .173 batting average in 28 games.
A change of scenery could be exactly what Quinn needs to rebound in 2022. The Marlins are a good team for him to join, too, as their weaker roster could help his chances of making it.
In 178 career games with the Phillies, Quinn has eight home runs, 38 RBIs, 39 stolen bases, and a .228 batting average.
