Chicago White Sox Sign Infielder
The Chicago White Sox have signed Josh Harrison to a one-year, $4.0 million contract. The contract also comes with a club option for the 2023 campaign and a $1.5 million buyout.
Harrison split last season between the Washington Nationals and Oakland Athletics. Overall, it was another productive season for the veteran, as he had eight home runs, 60 RBIs, and a .279 batting average. Although he isn't the biggest of names, he is still a very solid addition to the team's roster.
In 1,049 career games between the Pittsburgh Pirates, Detroit Tigers, Nationals, and A's, he has 64 home runs, 351 RBIs, and a .274 batting average. With that, he is also a two-time All-Star, so he has had himself a very solid career.
Overall, this seems like a good signing for the White Sox. Harrison not only brings a lot of experience but also versatility. He can be utilized at second base, third base, and in the outfield.
